I have been breastfeeding my new daughter for a month now and I have significantly more pain sometimes on the right than I do on the left. There is no redness or flu-like symptoms and the pain is not every time I nurse on that side. But it is often.
The soreness is on my breast, not my nipple. And it is on the underpart of my breast. Sometimes I get the pain when I am not nursing. It’s just a sudden nagging soreness. I was wondering if this is normal.
I also wonder if it’s safe not to wear a bra. My breasts are not too large (average), so a support camisole is more comfortable for me right now.
Can someone who has a lot of experience breastfeeding tell me what is normal breastfeeding pain and what I should be concerned about?
Oh, and my daughter has been wanting to eat every hour. Is this ok?
